Booked an 8 room block for my wedding. The stay was for my family and it was nothing short of fantastic. Before we booked I spoke with the current hotel manager Jeroen who answered all of our questions and emails about what we could expect during our stay. He was very professional and I knew we were in good hands with him. Our group took full advantage of the shared balcony space on the 4th floor. The views of the bay and the hills are really something during sunset. The staff was great and the hotel was so clean! We decided to book here because our parents stayed here a couple years back and they loved it! The location is perfect for visting UC Berkeley or if you need to jump on BART (North Berkeley Train) and get to the San Francisco or Oakland. Highly recommended! Fantastic place to enjoy the Bay.

I never write reviews unless my experience is exemplary. I ALWAYS stay in 5-star hotels, but there are none in Berkeley. I am in town for two moving my daughter back to school and wanted to be close to campus. Not only was my room surprisingly new in construction, it was absolutely spotless! Even the remote control, which even in the finest hotels, is often overlooked and are almost always unclean and sticky. It’s quite disgusting to imagine what previous guests might be doing while using a remote in a hotel…. So I’ll leave that to one’s imagination. What compelled me to write this review at 11:45PM after an exhausting day, is that the guest above me was making a great deal of tactile noise for some reason. I called the front desk and they immediately put the manager on the phone. I expressed my frustration and within five minutes he had personally dealt with the problem. The front desk staff during my two days were nothing but cheerful and cordial and even turned me on to the best pizza in town. This has been a wonderfully refreshing experience for a fraction of the price I typically spend on a hotel. Amenities are excellent and in a fantastic location for access to restaurants, gas and convenience stores. Kudos to the manager for his professionalism and his hiring skills for the team he has assembled. I will most definitely stay here again when I visit my daughter and will highly recommend it to my friends and colleagues: Well done Hotel Aiden!!!

Stayed two nights. Location was near the airport and very convenient to shopping and restaurants. Dog friendly. Very clean and nice staff. There is a $100 refundable fee. Employees to not ,make the rules - so not sure why people feel they have the right to harass them. Would definitely stay again.

I stayed at the Aiden last week while visiting my niece in Berkeley. The hotel was a quick 5 minute walk to the BART station, which is easy to navigate. I found the rooms clean and with all amenities. The staff at the front desk are very helpful and make you feel welcome. The breakfast I ordered on my last day was delivered right on time and piping hot! I will definitely return here for my next visit to Berkeley.

Not a great experience. No insulation between rooms and the outside so tons of street noise. When I asked to moved up a floor, the reception desk claimed I had made the reservation through a third party (false) and they couldn’t move me bc I hadn’t told them in the first 30 minutes I needed a room change. Hotel has a bit of a hostel feel and isn’t in the nicest location. Also quite pricey for the quality.

The staff was able to check me in early and was very helpful explaining to park the car in front (loading zone) and they would take the car as a valet system. I used the bike to use for a training I had to go to at Berkeley University. I had to sign a waiver that I had to fill out once for my duration of my stay for the bike. The paid breakfast was cheap and convenient. They can deliver to the lobby or your room depending on the time you want. There is a roof access to enjoy a patio set up with a firepit. In the same area there is a turf area with trx straps for working out as they do not have a gym. There are mats next to the elevator upon the roof top entrance. I would definitely stay here again if I have to stay in the area for work. It felt safe at the hotel. The area was ok during the day, not sure about how safe it is at night. The only thing I was bummed about is that the business suite did not have a fridge for some reason. Bring ear plugs!!!!! The building is next to the main street, one of the nights an ambulance went by and couldn't go back to sleep, I made sure to wear ear plugs after that.

I was skeptical when booking this place. However, the service at this hotel was excellent. Rooms were clean. The front desk were always very helpful. The valet service was super quick. Breakfast was very affordable.

Probably one of the best hotels I ever stayed at! I find it fascinating that hotel owners don't seem to understand what constitutes a pleasant stay for a traveler. I'm happy that Aiden understood this very well. First, some context: I was booked by my company at DoubleTree by Hilton, in the Berkeley Marina. According to them, because it was a "Hilton", I'd be good. That hotel was disgusting! The moment I got into my room I immediately started refreshing booking.com for Aiden but they were unfortunately full. I slept with my clothes on for 2 days until I was able to check in on this hotel. The staff is awesome. Young team that always greets you with a smile and makes everything easy. The hotel itself is PERFECT. Super clean (for me, the most important thing in a room), location is perfect (near 7 Eleven, Starbucks, North Berkeley BART station, etc). The room was spacious, had good Internet, good TV, super comfortable bed with CLEAN sheets, etc. The vending machine in the second floor was a good addition with AFFORDABLE snacks and drinks. Everything in the room was new with little to no signs of wear. Overall, I don't have a single negative thing to say about this hotel. It doesn't do a lot (doesn't have to). There's no excessive breakfasts or amenities. It does what it's supposed to do in the best way possible. Not only have I recommend the HR department to start using this hotel going forward, this will continue being my goto place every time I'm in Berkeley. To the management: please continue doing an amazing job. Continue with hygiene as the top priority and the rooms tidied up. With continuous maintenance you'll have years of 5 star reviews! Hope I get to visit again soon!

Great hotel! So clean. Room was spacious. Hotel was a 5 min walk to the BART, so it was easy to get around. The coffee in the lobby was delicious- I was obsessed - drank way too much every day! I also loved the Drybar products in the bathroom.

This is a fine 3-star hotel. The staff was very quick to get our vehicle from the garage. The facility is modern and clean. The location is a mile from the closest edge of UC Berkeley and 2 miles from the stadium. Value seems comparable to other nearby hotels. Pros: The windows in our room actually opened, the staff removed the last day from our trip via email when the app couldn’t, rooftop seating, 7Eleven right across the street, reasonably quiet Cons: No fitness center, tight fit between beds and desk
